Decorated boats come from the Stockton Deep Water Channel and take one time around Mc Leod Lake and return to the Deep Water Channel. This is the 30th annual Lighted Boat Parade and it is a free event sponsored by Marina West Yacht Club. It is a wonderful event to kick off the holiday season and takes place rain or shine! This event is a holiday gift, from Marina West Yacht Club, to the residents of San Joaquin County. Location & Time: The parade usually forms at Light 36 in the Stockton San Joaquin Delta at 5 p.m., reaching Weber Point at approximately 6 p.m.

Snow on the Farm
Snow Mountain is a 30-foot high hill located on the edge of a cornfield complete with a 200 foot drop coupled with a 100 foot run to allow people to ride inner tubes on manmade snow. Each session includes 90 minutes of unlimited snow tubing and you can add the discounted Zip Line upgrade for even more action!

There are 9 different races to accomodate people of all ages and athletic abilities, beginning between 8am and 11:45am. Click HERE for details.

33rd Annual Original Sacramento Toy Run
This is the Original State Capitol Toy Run. This year it is being held at the Sacarmento 6 Drive-in off HWY 50 and Bradshaw. The Marines Toys For Tots Foundation distribute the toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in our community.

All motorcycles will leave on a pack ride at noon.

The 11th Annual CHiPS for Kids Toy Drive

Bring a new, unwrapped toy to any participating school, CHP location, the Elk Grove Automall, Big Valley Ford, or other participating locations between Nov. 23rd and Dec. 20th. The toys will be delivered to hospitalized and disadvantaged children just in time for the holidays.

You can also join KCRA 3 and the California Highway Patrol and drop off your toy any time from 4:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4th at the main gate of Cal Expo.

Sacramento Zoo's November Canned Food Drive
Daily in November - 10 am to 4 pm
Bring a canned food item or other non-perishable item when you visit the Zoo and recieve $1 off your Zoo admission! Donations benefit the Sacramento Food Bank and families in need. The Food Bank especially needs items such as canned soups and fruits, tuna, peanut butter, mac and cheese, ramen and baby formula and cereals.

News 10's Coats for Kids Drive

Both new and gently used coats are welcome. Used coats do not have to be freshly cleaned; Swanson's Cleaners will clean the coats. All sizes are welcome, but children's coats are in particularly short demand.

Coats can be donated until December 18, 2009, at any of the locations listed here, or at any of these events. <--Click on links to see lists.

Coats will be distributed by The Salvation Army on December 30, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (or until all coats are gone) at Cal Expo in Sacramento and at The Salvation Army locations in Antioch, Fairfield, Lodi, Modesto, Roseville, Stockton and Yuba City.
